Chip off the old block: Hanzsche carries on family legacy with Navy lacrosse

T.J. Hanzsche has fond memories of traveling to Annapolis for Navy football and lacrosse games as a youngster. He particularly remembers attending the annual alumni lacrosse exhibitions that were held before the Army-Navy game.

Hanzsche's father is a 1989 Naval Academy graduate and four-year letterman for the men's lacrosse program. Tom Hanzsche has remained close to his classmates and former teammates, exposing his son to the special bond that exists with those folks.

Those experiences resonated with the Pennsylvania resident when it came time to choose a college. Although recruited for lacrosse by Yale and Villanova, Hanzsche kept coming back to the unique elements of the Naval Academy.
