For the last few years, the J/105 class has dominated competition for Hospice Cup’s highest trophy: the Hospice Cup itself, awarded in recognition of the best performance over three consecutive years.

That’s a testament to the willingness of Harbor 20 sailors to turn out in support of Hospice Cup and other local charity regattas, as well as a reflection of the changing participation demographics for this regatta and many others in the region and around the country.
Because the winner is determined based on a high point-type formula, meaning that not only is an individual skipper’s performance part of the calculation, but also the size of the class in which he or she is competing is a factor.
