Navy men’s basketball will be without two starters, including first team All-Patriot League pick Cam Davis, for today’s game against Loyola Maryland in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League Tournament.
The Capital has learned that Davis and starting forward Richard Njoku remain sidelined because of coronavirus protocols. Davis and Njoku did not play in either of last weekend’s games versus the Greyhounds due to contact tracing.
Navy overcame the absence of its two Patriot League postseason honorees, sweeping the home-and-home doubleheader with Loyola. Those two wins made the Midshipmen the top seed for the tournament.
Facing Navy without two of its best players provided more good news for the Greyhounds, which advanced to the quarterfinals without winning a game.
