Bucknell scored all its runs in the top of the eighth inning to defeat Navy, 4-1, on Saturday in Game 1 of their best-of-three Patriot league baseball semifinal at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium.
Navy led, 1-0, entering the eighth inning thanks to seven shutout innings by sophomore right-hander Noah Song. Song was lifted after the first two Bucknell runners reached, and the Bison were able to touch up the Navy bullpen for the go-ahead runs. Song was charged with two runs on eight hits with no walks and seven strikeouts.
Bucknell's Connor Van Hoose, who shut out Navy two weeks ago, baffled the Mids once again on Saturday, going the full nine innings while allowing just three Navy hits.
