The Brigade of Midshipmen will make the annual trek to the Army-Navy football game, albeit with some modifications and safety protocols amid the pandemic.
This year’s contest will be held at Michie Stadium at the United States Military Academy at West Point instead of Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia due to attendance limits placed on outdoor events in Pennsylvania.
There will only be midshipmen, cadets and Department of Defense leadership in the seats this year, excluding regular fans due to the ongoing pandemic. Both service academies followed rigorous coronavirus protocols and testing, including movement restriction, contact tracing, isolation and quarantine, making this travel from Annapolis north a “bubble-to-bubble movement,” according to a Naval Academy press release.
