Defense was the priority as the Chesapeake Bayhawks added five players to the flock through the 2018 Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft, held Wednesday night at US Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Maryland.
General Manager and Head Coach Dave Cottle used three of the team’s five picks on defensive players as the Bayhawks sought to strengthen that side of the field during this year’s draft.
“I’m very pleased with what we were able to accomplish with this draft class,” Cottle said. “We addressed some needs and found quality players. Hopefully, some of these guys will be able to help the Bayhawks before this season is over.
