Bayhawks counting on talented crop of second-year players to lead playoff push

The Chesapeake Bayhawks are confident that continuity and on the field combined with a collection of really talented players will produce an outstanding campaign in 2018.

Earlier this week, Chesapeake announced its 25-man roster for Saturday night’s (7 p.m.) season opener against the Dallas Rattlers and it is loaded with returning talent. General manager and head coach Dave Cottle was pleased that 20 of the 25 players were with the Bayhawks in some capacity last season and believes that will result in improved chemistry.

“I thought toward the end of the year it wasn’t a talent problem, it was an assimilation problem.
