Baltimore and Boston drew serious consideration to host Army-Navy football

Philadelphia and East Rutherford, New Jersey were the winners when the next cycle of Army-Navy games was revealed on Tuesday. Naval Academy athletic director Chet Gladchuk and Army West Point counterpart Eugene “Boo” Corrigan jointly announced that five years worth of contracts had been signed with Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia receiving four games and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford getting one.

That was bad news for several other finalists, including Baltimore and Boston. Gladchuk said those two cities both submitted attractive bids and would certainly be in the running for the future.
