No two college football teams in the country could be less concerned about playing in inclement weather than Air Force and Navy. The Falcons and Midshipmen rank second and third nationally in rushing offense, averaging 367 and 363 yards per game.
A storm system has drenched the Annapolis area the last few days and the approach of Hurricane Joaquin could produce heavy rain and high winds on Saturday. Asked if conditions could cause a change in game plan, Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo could not resist a tongue-in-cheek comment.
"We'll throw the ball less," Niumatalolo deadpanned. He then chuckled and noted the Midshipmen and Falcons are averaging just six and nine pass attempts.
