Army-Navy a special game for special season

PHILADELPHIA — Navy's football team, sporting a 9-2 record and a No. 23 national ranking, is in a unique position as it heads into the 116th Army-Navy game.

Thanks in part to a record-setting performance by fourth-year starting quarterback Keenan Reynolds, the Midshipmen have garnered an unaccustomed level of national attention.

This season the Mids rose to as high as No. 15 in the College Football Playoff Rankings and were even being talked about for a possible New Year's Day Bowl berth at one point.

That's not exactly what the Mids and their service academy counterparts are accustomed to.
