Army football set to face Navy and Air Force in consecutive weeks

During a whirlwind span of two weeks this summer, Army saw almost its entire schedule wiped out. Nine of its original 12 games were canceled because of teams canceling games due to coronavirus.

Princeton and Bucknell were wiped off the slate six days apart when the Ivy League (July 8) and Patriot League (July 14) elected to not play football. Fellow independents Connecticut and Massachusetts soon followed suit.

Three games (Buffalo, Miami-Ohio, Eastern Michigan) got wiped out August 8 when the Mid-American became the first Football Bowl Subdivision conference to determine it wasn’t safe to play fall sports during a pandemic.
