After making NFL debut, former Navy standout Malcolm Perry could have expanded role with Miami Dolphins Sunday

Malcolm Perry made his NFL debut last Sunday, starting at wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins against the Los Angeles Rams. The former Navy Academy star caught one pass for 10 yards and took two snaps as a wildcat quarterback.

Perry could be in line for an expanded role 4:05 p.m. at the Arizona Cardinals after getting on the field for a total of seven plays in his debut. Miami traded slot receiver Isaiah Ford to the New England Patriots this past week — opening opportunities for Jakeem Grant, Lynn Bowden Jr. and Perry.

Bowden is now out of the mix, having been placed on the COVID-19 list Friday.
