The Brigade of Midshipmen turned out strong to support the Navy men’s basketball team on Wednesday night, bolstering an otherwise sparse crowd at Alumni Hall.
The boisterous contingent of mids, who were all seated in the end zone behind the home basket, saw Navy play an inspired ballgame that produced a critical win over one of the hottest teams in the Patriot League.
Senior point guard Hasan Abdullah reached a career-high with 23 points and delivered a superb all-around floor game with six rebounds and six assists to lift Navy to an impressive 77-67 victory over American in front of an announced crowd of 1,413 at Alumni Hall.
