Mike Fisher has been one of the faces of the Nashville Predators since he was dealt to the team from Ottawa in 2010. He’s scored 78 goals while in Predators’ gold and has been a pivotal force behind what the Predators have become over the last five years.
The recently turned 35-year-old is now in search of a new contract as he will be an unrestricted free agent come July 1 but the team has voiced that they are indeed in talks towards a new contract to keep the veteran in Music City.
Pierre Lebrun of ESPN delivered his rumblings about the ongoing talks and what exactly is taking so long for the center to reach an agreement with the club:
“We’ve talked, and we talked as recently as Monday of this week, and we continue to have a very healthy dialogue,” Fisher’s agent, Todd Reynolds, told ESPN.
