2015-2016 is the last year of Clune's contract, in which he's poised to make $850,000. It became clear very early in the season that Peter Laviolette did not have a place for him on his roster. Clune played just one game for the Predators last season, before becoming a healthy scratch and ultimately being sent to AHL Milwaukee.
