On March 27th, Elite Prospects and @vorkywh24 - a well-trusted, former KHL journalist - reported that Yakov Trenin will be loaned to the Kontinental Hockey League after this season. He was tied to his hometown club Traktor Chelyabinsk.
The 21-year-old forward was taken by the Nashville Predators 55th overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and was playing in his first professional season in Milwaukee this year. Trenin was drafted after scoring 18 goals and 67 points in 58 games for the Gatineau Olympiques in his rookie season in the QMJHL.
