It was odd when the news came out that restricted free agent defenseman Petter Granberg was going to file for arbitration with the Predators earlier this summer, but according to reports, Granberg and Nashville have agreed to terms on a new two-year, two-way deal. His arbitration hearing was scheduled for August 3.
His new contract is reportedly worth $575,000 at the NHL level and $175,000 at the AHL level for the 2016-17 season and $650,000 the following year; $1.225 mil in total.

Granberg had two helpers in 27 games with the Predators last season after he was claimed off of waivers on November 22 after the Toronto Maple Leafs elected to waive him.
