According to Elliotte Friedman, the Nashville Predators have acquired forward Jason Zucker from the Arizona Coyotes. This is added to the team’s moves yesterday; Zucker, whose contract expires at the end of the season, might be expected to serve as something of a replacement for Yakov Trenin. Pierre LeBrun reports that the exchange was for a sixth-round pick.
Zucker played for the Pittsburgh Penguins for four years before heading to Arizona, and was with the Minnesota Wild before that. He hasn’t had a great season with the Coyotes, but he’s still managed to put up 25 points in 51 games despite some very bad shooting luck while staying fairly close to the team as a whole in expected goal share.
