The Nashville Predators announced Tuesday morning that they had signed goaltender Devin Cooley to a two-year entry level contract. The 6’5” University of Denver netminder only played nine games last season before going down to a lower body injury, but had 32 starts for Denver in the last three seasons.
Cooley’s career in Denver saw a 0.927 save percentage and was a three-time winner of the NCHC Goaltender of the Week award. The former San Jose Junior Sharks product saw 19 games with the Muskegon Lumberjacks in 2015-16, and split 24 games the following season with the Springfield Junior Blues (NAHL) and Wenatchee Wild (BCHL) prior to going to the University of Denver in 2017-18.
