Things have not gone to plan for Mike Ribeiro this season in Nashville. The 36-year-old has been a healthy scratch five times this season including the past two games for the Predators.
According to Stormin Norman, a Montreal Freelance Reporter, Ribeiro has asked for a trade out of Nashville:
There is also this, well, not so great endorsement from head coach Peter Laviolette about Ribeiro and his status with Nashville:
Asked Peter Laviolette yesterday where Mike Ribeiro stood with him: "He's a member of our team." Not a real ringing endorsement.

Norman also reported that Ribeiro’s first team of choice to be traded to would be the Montreal Canadiens.
