Earlier this morning, Nashville Predators General Manager Dave Poile announced that they had officially signed rookie prospect Justin Kirkland to an entry level contract. Kirkland was selected by the Predators 62nd overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft from the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL.
Standing at 6’3″ and weighing 185 lbs, the Kelowna winger has plenty of size but will need to continue filling out his large frame if he hopes to eventually make the transition to the NHL level. That shouldn’t be an area of concern for the young Alberta native, who seems focused and driven on making it in the NHL.
