The Nashville Predators have agreed to terms with 27-year-old defender Yannick Weber. The 5’11, 200 lb. skater comes to the team after spending the past three seasons with the Vancouver Canucks.
It appears GM David Poile just isn’t ready to part ways with the sight of a Weber on the ice in Nashville. On the heels of sending team Captain and Nashville Predators All-Pro Shea Weber to Montreal in exchange for superstar P.K. Subban, Yannick’s signing will fill the void in name- but not role.
Yannick Weber notched only 7 points with a -17 plus/minus rating in 45 games last year, though recorded a career high 21 points (11 goals, 10 assists) and a +4 rating while staying mostly healthy through 65 games in 2014-15.
