The Nashville Predators signed defenseman Dan Hamhuis to a 2-year, $2.5 million dollar contract this morning.
Hamhuis is 35 and was once a top blue liner for the Predators. He was drafted by Nashville in 2001 and played 483 games in a Nashville sweater. With the Predators, Hamhuis scored 32 goals and added 129 assists.
Hamuis played for the Vancouver Canucks from 2010-2016 and has skated with the Dallas Stars for the last two years.
Aside from tons of playoff experience, Hamhuis supports the already-deep Nashville blueline as a presumed 5th defenseman.
