Anton Volchenkov served as the number-six blue liner in his 46 games played for the Nashville Predators this season, and while his score sheet wasn’t a full one he still made an impact on what was a great Nashville campaign.
Volchenkov is set to become an unrestricted free agent as his one-year deal worth $1 million has come to an end and it sounds like the veteran defenseman may be in search for a new home for the upcoming season. General manager David Poile told the media May 30 that “Our defense is coming back except Volchenkov.
