The Nashville Predators are being mentioned as a team that “stood-still” in the offseason. That isn’t necessarily true. They signed some of the biggest free agents available, but two of them just happened to be Predators last season. Mike Ribeiro and Mike Fisher could have gone anywhere but stayed in Nashville as part of a winning team.
David Poile also brought in free agents Cody Hodgson and Barret Jackman to add depth to the core of this team. Hodgson should help distribute scoring more evenly through three lines of scoring and Jackman will play alongside Seth Jones helping his development.
