On January 6th, when David Poile pulled the trigger and traded Seth Jones to Columbus for Ryan Johansen he mentioned that they Predators had finally acquired the number one center they had needed for so long. At the time, Predators fans could only hope that the new center could approach the types of numbers he had last season for Columbus with 71 points and 26 goals in 82 games.
If you were to take his first seven games as a Predator and extrapolate the points over a full season he would currently be on a pace for 35 goals and 105 points.
