The award was to Mike Fisher for playing in his 1,000th game. Fisher was presented with a silver stick and a framed collage of photos from his career along with a Tiffany crystal from the NHL during a ceremony before Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Kings at Bridgestone Arena. He is the 301st NHL player to meet the milestone and is one of only 25 active players to make it.
Before the game started, he was joined by his wife Carrie Underwood and son Isaiah as well as his Mother and Father to watch a presentation on the Jumbotron as well as accept the gifts.
