I absolutely have a soft spot in my heart for defensive defensemen in today’s NHL. Guys like Chris Tanev, Mattias Ekholm, and most notably, Marc-Edouard Vlasic can be underappreciated at times, But Ekholm is really feeling the love this season as his time on the power play is resulting in more points. The Nashville Predators are a better team for having Ekholm on the ice as often as they do.
