The Nashville Predators announced on Saturday that they have signed forward Trevor Smith to a two-year, two-way contract worth $575,000 at the NHL level and $175,000 at the AHL level in 2016-17, and $650,000 at the NHL level and $150,000 at the AHL level in 2017-18.
Smith's last NHL team was the Toronto Maple Leafs where he scored two goals and added three helpers in 54 games during the 2014-15 season. Last season he had three goals and two assists in 17 games while playing with Bern SC of the Swiss League.
