Derek Roy, Olli Jokinen, Matt Cullen, and Cody Hodgson. Each of these players was brought in to fill the 3rd line center role for the Nashville Predators. Over the past two seasons, Calle Jarnkrok outplayed the 4 players previously mentioned, and stole the 3rd line center position for himself. In doing so, he effectively kicked each player off the team.
After Ryan Johansen was brought in, Calle Jarnkrok shifted to wing and rather quickly found himself playing on the first line. For much of the second half of the regular season, he stole the struggling Colin Wilson‘s job in the top-6.
