The Nashville Predators announced today that they have re-signed Petter Granberg to a new two-year contract.
Petter Granberg was scheduled to go to arbitration on August 3rd, so the contract is welcome as arbitration is generally a no-win situation for either side.
The contract was announced as a two-year, $1.225-million contract. He will make $575,000 at the NHL level and $175,000 if he were to play in the AHL with Milwaukee next season. During the 2017-18 season, his contract will pay him $650,000.
Granberg is only 23-years old and played his first season last year for the Predators after they claimed in on waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
