The Nashville Predators have been making an impact at the world level. Even though it’s only the exhibition round of the World Cup tournament, the on ice action couldn’t be more intense as international rivalries come to a head once again.
Sweden’s rivalry with neighboring Finland is as intense as they come. With two games already played between these bitter rivals, the stage is set for more memorable matchups throughout the tournament.
Team Finland, including our very own Pekka Rinne, got the last laugh in their first exhibition game as they edged Sweden 3-2 in the dying seconds of overtime thanks to Olli Maata of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
