The Predators need to find a way to celebrate this day every year, it is the anniversary of the trade between the Washington Capital and the Nashville Predators for Filip Forsberg. The Predators certainly wouldn’t be where they are today without that trade.
It was three years ago today, late in the season when it was announced that Preds fan favorite Martin Erat was traded along with an unheard of prospect, Michael Latta for a player with the funny sounding name of Filip Forsberg. Most fans weren’t exactly overjoyed that Erat was headed out of town as he was second all-time in scoring goals and points behind David Legwand.
