Nashville Predators GM David Poile was long ago thought of as one of the top General Managers in the National Hockey League. That thought has only been reinforced in the past couple of years.
Back in 2011, Bloomberg Businessweek did an article on the smartest spenders in sports. Kind of a “Money Ball” thought process, balancing spending vs. wins in all four major sports. The Nashville Predators came out on top of the list. That is the way that GM Poile manages the team.
Going into the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, the Nashville Predators were woefully short on talented forwards.
