Many Nashville Predators fans haven’t known a time when Pekka Rinne wasn’t the team’s top goalie. He’s played less than forty games once in the last decade, during the 2013-14 season that he missed most of due to a hip injury. He’s been the one constant on the ice for Nashville and usually has been the best player on the team.
We know that this won’t always be the case. Rinne will turn 36 on November 3. He’s closer to the end of his career than the beginning. His contract expires at the end of the season, and there are valid arguments for keeping him & for letting him go.
