Nashville Predators Acquire Defenseman Andrew O’Brien From Anaheim Ducks

The Nashville Predators have made another minor move as they have acquired 24-year-old defenseman Andrew O’Brien from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for forward Max Gortz.

Neither the 23-year-old Gortz or O’Brien have any NHL experience. O’Brien, a fourth-round pick of the Ducks in the 2012 NHL Draft, has two assists in 10 games this season with AHL San Diego.

According to Adam Vingan of The Tennesseean, this move is the result of Adam Pardy suffering an injury with the Admirals that has put him out indefinitely.

Nashville, TN - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Thursday that the club has acquired defenseman Andrew O'Brien from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for forward Max Gortz.
