Nashville Predators 4, New Jersey Devils 5: Preds Blow 3 Goal Lead, Still Can’t Figure Out OT

The Nashville Predators closed out November with a 9-3-2 record. December didn’t start out the way they would have liked, losing 5-4 in overtime to New Jersey at Bridgestone Arena. It was the Preds second overtime loss at home this season.

Kevin Fiala got the scoring started late in the first period on a deflection from Matt Irwin. Moments later, Taylor Hall batted a puck past Pekka Rinne to tie the game 1-1. Not to be outdone, P.K. Subban drove home his sixth goal of the season, and fifth at Bridgestone Arena to give the Preds a 2-1 lead after one.
