With a 2-0 series lead, the Nashville Predators entered Bridgestone Arena Monday night with a chance to put their foot on the throat of the Chicago Blackhawks.
The first period played out much like everyone expected. The Blackhawks came out firing on all cylinders. Nashville matched their intensity stride-for-stride. Plenty of back-and-forth scoring chances but nobody was able to poke a puck through.
The second period began with Nashville becoming its own worst enemy. They take a penalty, put Chicago on the power play and then Chicago scores, courtesy of Dennis Rasmussen. Another power play for the Hawks allows Patrick Kane to jump in on the scoring, putting the Blackhawks up 2-0.
