After a sulky three game losing streak, the Predators found themselves in the win column after a tough defensive battle with the Minnesota Wild.
Roman Josi started things off in the 1st period, catching Devan Dubnyk off guard with a change-up from the blueline. That made it a 1-0 game with just under three minutes gone in the game. The Preds had their speed game going for the rest of the period, generating plenty of quality chances on Dubnyk. Miikka Salomaki was all alone in front, Craig Smith nearly stuffed home a goal short side, then Ryan Hartman had a hard shot after a penalty had expired.
