The two-day summit tackled elite men’s hockey, which dominates the sport’s culture in Canada, and the toxic masculinity in it that can also breed racism, sexism and homophobia in the game.
Speaking of conferences, this one sounds like a reason for optimism. People at all levels of hockey recognizing that work needs to be done to make the sport safer for both players and fans is not something I would have expected ten years ago, or maybe even five years ago.
