After sweeping Manitoba the weekend prior, the Milwaukee Admirals took on the Rockford IceHogs in a home-and-home series this past weekend. Yaroslav Askarov was stellar all weekend, stopping 83 of 87 shots for a 0.954 save percentage as both games went to a shootout.
The Admirals escaped with four points and distanced themselves a little more from the IceHogs in third in the Central Division. Milwaukee remains two points behind the Texas Stars, who they’ve got a back-to-back date with this upcoming weekend.
