Evening Update: Phil Housley is a Hall of Famer, Qualifying Offers All Around

It certainly wasn't a slow Monday, that's for sure.

News was swirling over the draft weekend that David Poile was doing his best to try and unload Viktor Stalberg onto another team. That didn't happen, but the team did put him on unconditional waivers this morning for purposes of a buyout.

If he clears (which he should, considering he just went through regular waivers) the team will be paying him $1,166,666 million over the next four years. That will produce a cap hit of $666,666 in 2015-16 and 2016-17, and rise to $1,166,666 from 2017-18 to 2018-19.
