The Mountain West had a hand in kicking off bowl season on Saturday, providing a national audience with a pair of exciting games from Albuquerque and Orlando. This, in spite of some consternation that 5-7 teams, such as the San Jose State Spartans, made it to the postseason by unusual means (read: not winning enough).
And it got me to thinking: Is there any good reason why all of college football shouldn't blow it out to end a long campaign? More football is better than less football, after all, and August will seem to be ages away in the next two week or so.
