On Friday, UNLV received some bad news in the form of an injury when it was announced that starting wide receiver Kendal Keys will miss the entire year after undergoing surgery to repair a lateral meniscus.
Originally from San Diego, California, Keys was again positioned to team up with fellow junior wideout Devonte Boyd as the Rebels’ starting duo.
“He’s a great player. You don’t have a lot of big 6-foot-4, 200-pound wide receivers. You miss him,” head coach Tony Sanchez said via the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “Other guys are going to have to pick up the slack.
