Staley weighs in on coordinator's status

Joe Staley was pointed when asked about the potential to play for a new offensive coaching staff in 2016.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Left tackle Joe Staley, the 49ers' most tenured player, remains one of the most respected and influential voices in the locker room.

Ahead of Sunday's season finale against the Rams, Staley made it clear how he felt about his team's 4-11 season, two years removed from a third-straight trip to the conference title game after last offseason's mass exodus of key figures.

"Obviously it sucks to go through this kind of season," Staley said.
