Nevada traveled to San Jose State's Event Center Arena looking to build on an overtime victory against Fresno State last Saturday. After a slow start, Nevada prevailed, winning 61-55.
Both San Jose State and Nevada came out sluggish Wednesday night in a sleepy Event Center Arena. The dismal Spartans crowd is mostly attributed to the dread surrounding San Jose State's current basketball season. San Jose State's trials continued. Nevada played to the level of their competition, but squeaked out a 61-55 victory.
San Jose State's best asset was Nevada's unusually lackadaisical offense. Nevada shoots over 31 percent from deep this season, but they shot 2-12 from three.
