Caragher explains his head scratching decision in Friday night's loss to BYU
Friday night's game against the BYU Cougars ended in dramatic fashion. Trailing 17-16 with 45 seconds left in the game, Spartans head couch Ron Caragher made the decision to go for 2 instead of going for the PAT and tie things up. If you thought that Caragher was having any second thoughts, you might want to think again.
"It was the right thing to do at the time," Caragher said Monday at his weekly news conference. "We had a chance to win the game on the 2½-yard line.
