San Jose State will be in the need of a new defensive coordinator as Greg Robinson is retiring after the Spartans bowl game against Georgia State.
Robinson came to San Jose State for the 2014 season and the former Syracuse head coach was a well-known name for the school to hire and while the passing defense was top notch the rushing attack was not very good in his two years. In 2014, this defense gave up 240 yards per game on the ground and it slightly improved to 213 yards this year.
However, all of that rush defense should not be on Robinson as Caragher has not had a rush defense crack the top-100 nationally as the head coach.
