The San Jose State Spartans returned to the Event Center where they hosted the San Diego State Aztecs in a nationally televised game on Tuesday night.
These two teams started off slow until Malik Pope opened the scoring for the Aztecs with a long distance shot. Trey Kell found Dakarai Allen to help SDSU take a 7-0 lead at 15:56 of the first half.
The Spartans had some good looks, but went 0-of-10. SJSU finally got on the board in the middle of the half, but continued to trail 7-2.
Terrell Brown pulled the Spartans within two with his first shot of the game, a three-pointer, at 11:24.
