San Diego State began their summer evaluation period by hosting Adam Seiko, a 6-4 guard from Chatsworth, California. Three days later Seiko decided that he had seen enough and verbally pledged to Steve Fisher and the Aztecs program.
Seiko is a testament of how Fisher and staff value their own evaluations over those by scouts and recruiting analysts. You will not find Seiko’s name on any Top 100 lists, you will not even find him as a three-star prospect. ESPN and Scout have him listed as a two-star prospect, which is usually the entry point for all high school players, while Rivals and 247Sports do not even rank Seiko.
